While digging in my playground (garden) today, I had three separate opportunities to dig out a mole, and I missed him each time! I couldn't believe he had the audacity to start moving earth again 30 seconds after I tried to dig him out. Either stupid or extremely confident...or deaf? I think he was mocking me. :somad I used to be really good at digging out moles this way, but lately I haven't had much luck. Maybe my shovel needs sharpening. :idunno

Just be careful you don't get your own foot with the shovel!

Maybe a heat seeking drone would do the job. BOOM!! No more mole and all you have to do is wall the hole in and you have a nice root cellar.

I hate moles and this spring seems to be the worst year yet. Parts of the yard look like a war zone. I'm going to have to break down and buy some traps. It's getting out of control.

I'm having such good luck so far spreading stinky, fermented boy cat pee clay litter on the outer perimeter and in the paths of my garden to keep the Gophers out, that I wonder if it can deter Moles too.

Moles and Gophers are very different, but I do wonder if cat pee soaked clay litter will deter the Moles also.

It is not going into my garden soil. Most goes outside my netting, and some goes in the middle of the hard pack walkways between the beds.

Hey Marshall, is there a difference between boy cat pee and girl cat pee? I know that my girls litter box (and the whole utility room) REEKS if I don't get that pee not only out of the box but out of the house. You're gardens are pretty large, are you able to spread it enough that you don't notice the smell while working in the garden?
