Hey yall, got a mystery going on here.
I planted a few marigold seeds I saved from last year.
This plant has never bloomed, but it sure got big! It's over 6ft tall.

Here's a close up of the leaves, they don't smell like a marigold. :idunno

I don't know what it is, but the surefire way to know for sure if it is or isn't a marigold is to take the leaves and lightly rub them... If it is a marigold you will know it.

Otherwise, it is a monster and wants to be fed!

FEED ME LOL

Can we see pictures of all those other things growing in your garden?

What are those pink flowers down lower?

Yes I agree it is A weed. But I must say it is a well taken care of, well fed, and cultivated weed.
If you like it's looks let it grow. I just would not allow it to go to seed!

LOL @ Greensage45 & beefy.. yall crack me up.

I'm not going to cut the "monster" down.. it's just too cool looking.

The pink flowers are lantana, just put them there this spring. My MIL was trimming some & I just stuck them in the ground. That area is right by the coop & guess the ground is well fertilized.
My chickens free range & don't bother it all.

I'll start another post with somemore pics, here's a couple.
This is looking back towards the coop.We are blessed with tons of Jerusalem artichokes ( or called sunchokes)

I was playing with my new camera, this is some of our garden area. Most of it is grass, but hoping to expand it soon.
We have more artichokes, muscudines growing on the fence, blackberries, blueberries, huckleberries, table grapes, elephant garlic.

Wow ...it is so lush and alive. Your sunchokes aren't even in bloom yet, they look wonderful.

I love the space.

Thanks,Ron

That pic was from spring,we went for 2 months this summer without a drop of rain.It got pretty bad there for awhile,we've got cooler temps now & some rain pretty regular.
The sunchokes are blooming now & they did manage to get pretty dern big this year.Funny thing is we thinned them out, lol. The tiniest piece will make a plant,it's amazing.

OMG it is a Cosmos! :ep

I would have never thought, but now that I see the bloom the leaf does make sense! LOL How fun is that.

Make sure and let the seedheads form for seeds next year! :ya
