"Rumor" has it that this was a City picnic table that drifted downriver some 60+ years ago and made landfall in the backyard of my MIL. We all know how suspect rumors can be so I discounted that idea when DH brought the monster home.
New wood for benches and top and the table is the get together spot in the yard for family. I'm not too sure how much use it will get before there is shade over it once again.
