Going to miss having corn in the freezer this winter. I did not go put any to put up and our usual source ever called with the offer to come pick al we want before it goes to waste. Not sure he even planted any this year.
looks soooo good, now I want a feed of corn on the cob, the best we can do this year is take a run out to one of the local farms and pick up a few cobs. Seriously thinking of putting a little corn patch in next year.View attachment 16166 My corn is huge this year. We over planted the 2nd crop so are cooking, cutting and freezing every night. This is what organic corn looks like. No pesticides, fungicides or herbicides.. We see an occasional corn borer. However, I think you need to fear what you can't see rather than the occasional worm. No it will not keep in the fridge for 2 weeks like the corn bought in the grocery store.
Corn borer and ear worm are two different insects.
