:ya I enjoyed my first harvest this season with a nice crop of broccoli raab about 2 weeks ago. I have a new camera now and it took me some time to get these pictures posted. I made them a little different, I sauteed them with olive oil and garlic after blanching the broccoli raab first. This time I added a few anchovies in with the garlic. Let me tell you it was so very good. I enjoyed this first harvest very much and hope to have many more for next time. I look forward to harvesting the broccoli raab at least a few more time before the plants get too woody and bolt.

I have never had broccoli raab.. is it similar to regular brocoli? The only think I have had so far is green onions and strawberries---and fresh mint tea.

Yes it is quite similar to broccoli but I think it has a stronger taste and it also has more leaves when you prepare it.

Yep, I received a new camera for my birthday, the only thing I'm taking pictures of is plants... At least the pictures are nice and clear :) .

I'll post lots of pictures, I promise! ;) But be careful what you wish for, all I might do is post pictures :gig .

This was a one day's harvest, I think the more you pick them the faster them grow back. I have to pick some more later.
