I made this birdbath with a $1.88 plastic plant saucer from Walmart, some waterproof glue (I'll use clear drying glue next time) and glass rocks from aquariums that I used to have. I placed this on top of an old terra cotta pot that is too cracked to plant anything in anymore but too pretty to toss out. I glued the glass rocks to the bottom, most of them anyway, because I got tired of trying to catch them all when I cleaned the birdbath.

Oh, that is SO cool! :clap Where have you been all my life? I don't know about you, but it freaks me out when I see birdbaths priced astronomically high...esp since I'm afraid it would eventually come to ruin with our snoopy cats, chickens, you-name-it...

I dont have a photo but I do something similar. I take the terracotta pot and a saucer a few sizes larger, turn the pot upside down and glue the saucer to it , right side up. The pot makes a base for the saucer. Its very simple and looks great, Ive painted them and sprayed sealer on them for outside.
