My husband wants to invest in some art work but I don't know anything about it. Don't know how to find aspiring artists whose works will appreciate in the future.

I collect his work because he paints places I grew up around. He lived in Ct and had his studio in NYC. Mary art can be very tricky, find someone who knows art and let them guide you.

I occasionally see paintings on Antiques Roadshow that are from the Hudson River School. They always seem popular and collectible. Nice painting you have there, congratulations!

Artist came from all over the world to paint the Hudson Valley in the 1800s. Nothing is more beautiful in the fall.

You are right, that should be the first thing. But I would also like for it to appreciate in value. Especially when you are investing over several grand on it.
