Each week for our congregational "nosh" I am able to provide a nice big salad from my garden, as long as the cool weather holds out. Here is the one from yesterday.

I also pick a few Rosemary flowers to put in, they gives the greens a nice flavor.

Mmmm, looks delicious - can't wait to do the same thing. Once my nastursiums start blooming- I put them on everything! They look adorable on cupcakes and cakes. Love borage flowers too- they have a wonderful tropical flavor... 22 days till spring!!!

How beautiful! :bow

If I were to present that to my flock/friends...I would get the unceremonious redneck remark of .."Im not goin to be eatin no flowers." :th

It is a shame that some people will miss so much of the good in life right in front of them. :bee

They get over the fear of flowers after a bit. My husband is from Texas, and an ex outlaw bker dude, and he eats them!

Are you kidding? I can't even call quiche "quiche" and expect the guys to eat it. I have to call it "meat and egg casarole" or "breakfast pie" :gig

My husband always says "REAL men eat whatever the heck they want to eat."

Are these fellows not secure in their "manhood"?

I wonder sometimes! LOL

Hubby doesn't care what you call it as long as you don't call him late to the table. It's the NASCAR watching, tobacco chewing guys that seem to have the problem. French words like quiche aren't manly enough I guess!
