My sister just came back from a relaxing vacation near Gooseberry Falls, MN she took lots of wild flower pics but has been unable to identify these two. Anyone know what they are?

I'm with thistlebloom, thimbleberry on #2. We have huge amounts of huge thimbleberries all over this year due to the huge amount of rain this spring!! Great for eating as you're strolling along, taste and look like a raspberry, but very crumbly so dont store well.

I believe the the 1st picture is of a plant not just found in NE MN but, in lots of places: Asclepias tuberosa.

USDA (click)

I could be wrong tho'. With just a few blooms and those yellow ones in there, kind of throws me . . .

Not asclepias tuberosa. The leaves are all wrong, IMHO. Not sure what it is, though.
