Clematis might fill the bill as they don't seem to attract bees & wasps . You could have several different types which would give you a succession of different coloured & shaped flowers. BUT THEN I AM BIASED AS I LOVE THEM ! :love

Too bad you are across the ocean - I would love to try a variety of clematis's. I have Sweet William but haven't sown those yet. The area I want to plant them is SO overgrown and we are still cleaning it of debris from the fire.....

But you say the bees leave the clematis alone for the most part? That would be cool as I have LOADS of the Sweet William thanks to Blue Bird
