You say green Beans. Are they family or local heirloom or store bought?

marshallsmyth, the beans will be store bought. Just the other day I found a locally owned garden center that sells heirloom seeds. I can't wait to make it back there.

Reason I mention it Stony is you're in a part of the country where there are still some families and ole timers, probably farmers market folks, who have and grow kinds of green beans that are very special. Most of those special beans aren't much in seed catalogs. They are called Greasy, or Cutshort, or Cornfield, or Half Runner, or Creasebacked, or Fall, or some such name.
