I would have done the same that's a good price. I will probably try and grow them next year I am trying my hand at elephant ears this year but they don't seem to be growing :hu but I will have to wait and see maybe they will decide to spring up.

I would think the elephant ear would do well in Alabama, here they are annuals or to be dug and stored indoors for winter. They are VERY slow to show signs of growth. Welcome from Eastern IOWA :frowHere is a photo of my oldest grandson with an Elephant ear about 7 years ago.
