Monty bought upper cabinets because I was not there to supervise his purchase!!!! I guess we have to figure out if these cabinets work for us or not.... I imagine Lowes is probably sick of seeing me at the paint counter.

As for DD having another parade tomorrow, it shouldn't be an all day even like on the 4th....so I will be able to still get some painting done tomorrow.

Latest remodel update:
I pulled the carpet from BR1 to fix the floor. I really hate mobile homes. The floor is 7/8" particle board. Of course, you can't just run out and buy 7/8" anything. That 1/8" difference might not be a problem in the carpeted rooms because I have a very heavy commercial carpet padding. Even so, I am considering using the old linoleum from the kitchen as a spacer to bring it closer to even. The real problem is in the kitchen. There is a bad spot there under the window as well. We already have the floating hardwood laminate floor for in there. I may have to try to space it up as well and then use a floor leveler to make up any difference.
Also, while working in BR1, I discovered a soft spot on the ceiling near a wall. I think the roof is leaking. So, tomorrow I'll be up there checking it out. I also bought two buckets of aluminum roof coating. I may need a third, we'll see.
On other fronts, I have the tub in the guest bathroom ready to remove. All I have to do is crawl under the house and disconnect the plumbing. On the bright side, I found a shed snake skin that measured a good 6 feet long right near where I have to crawl around. It looked like a black snake skin, so no worries there. Their bites hurt like a buggar and usually get infected, but they're not poisonous. Maybe I can get it to hold the light for me since I doubt I'll get Dew under there.
And lastly, the new uppers are 30" tall, the existing cabinets are 24" tall. At least Dew will finally be able to reach the bottom shelf without standing on her tippy toes. This whole cabinet adventure is going to turn into a nightmare. I can just see it coming. I should have fired up the wood shop and custom built the things to fit. I really hate mobile homes.

Oh, and Major, the conference center is an outdoor venue only. It sometimes gets smoked out depending on wind direction, but we don't charge extra for that

Back when I worked for a living I refurbished equipment (generators, compressors, pumps, tanks) and a few quarters buildings for the oil patch. I didn't do the detailed work myself but was project manager. Whenever you start working on them you always find a lot you didn't see before. Management always thought we would save a lot of money reusing stuff but most of the time it wound up costing about as much as building new. What we did save was time and time is valuable in the oil patch. Some of those refurbishing projects, especially the quarters buildings, are not pleasant memories, especially dealing with management expectations.

I can appreciate what you are saying about floor levels and things just not fitting. Corners are not square and you can't always get the sizes you need. I'm sure it will take you a lot of time and will cost more than you think it should, but at the end of the day you will have it looking really nice and working right. You'll be so busy it will keep you out of trouble except when you talk to Bay.

The one thing he has to remember, this is NOT our permanent home! This is temporary until our home is done, once we start on the new home then he can be the perfectionist that he is. Btw it drives me nuts!

I feel your pain Dew. My husband is also know as Mr. Square Plumb & Level.
All the stuff you can't see has to be perfect before he moves on. I understand the reasons for that, but boy, it can sure make me fidgety.
