Surely I am not the only one here in the furthest East-North corner of Nevada!?
Gardening is a challenge here..the garden club in Elko is mainly for moral support!
I don't think you're the only one out there in that part of the state. Maybe they just haven't found TEH yet! It's o.k. there are other areas also where gardening is a challenge. But even in sunny California where we have almost perfect weather gardening is a challenge to some of us.
Welcome to TEH, you will love this place. :rainbow-sun:watering
Thanks for the encouragement! I am trying to tell people about this site
Actually I am from the Sierras of California...gophers, deer, rattlesnakes...foxtails.
We have deer here..I don't miss the rest! Normally we have a season that runs May through mid September. This year we had a hard freeze mid-june and then it started freezing end of August, but if you perservered and covered every night it paid off..
The main thing is, it is so dry here...10% humidity...but the cold is bearable when it's this dry...when everything is frozen over!
Clean air and wideopen space make up for all the challenges!
