So, this obviously isn't what it was supposed to be. I've had it a couple of years now and never got around to even trying to ID it. I use it as my water sensor - when it droops, I water the bed. Anyway, this year it has developed little pods of some sort so now I'm curious what it is:

Hey there,

You got the 'b' part right, it is Brugmansia, Angel's Trumpet, and those buds growing are going to get big. The flower will be several inches across and each bloom should last up to a week or two. The fragrance comes through in the evening to mornings.

I look forward to seeing it in bloom, and seeing the color it is.

Fantastic plant.

So that's what it is. Those are some pretty flowers! I have read these are supposed to be an annual yet mine comes back every year...? Also, is there a light/heat requirement - this is the first time it has tried to bloom....
