All Summer. But having summers off it does not feel like I am retired. It will hit soon. School resumes on Friday.

Just wait till that first horrible morning you don't have to get up and out in the cold fall morning rainstorm. You can go back to watching the morning news in your PJs and have another cuppa.
    Congratulations!

i was pondering your comment about being directionally challenged and comparing that to being a bus driver for all those years. :) hope you will not be too traumatized by sleeping in this fall... ;)

Haha, most of us lived and grew up in the area, so often the dispatcher even gave us directions by farm name or landmark ;) I do not plan to sleep in much later , but will not be setting alarm for 5 a.m. anymore. :)

Well, having been off for the summer, at least you've had some "practice retirement', so it won't be cold turkey. :D I hope your retirement is fulfilling, relaxing, and all that you hope for.

I'm just one year behind you, still pondering how I intend to fill the void... might work part time, and/or volunteer somewhere, just to stay active. DW wants to do more traveling. Plenty of time for gardening too, I'll probably put more effort into a few breeding programs. Just because you stop working, doesn't mean you stop challenging yourself.

I get not wanting to drive bus-I’d kill some parents then their kids if they didn't straighten up-I know, no patience....but what are you going to do with your time?

I had to get a part time job to keep me at least appearing sane.
