I love pumpkin bread! DH does not like anything with squash! I wonder if squash is mostly loved by women?

My youngest granddaughter and I made some a couple of years ago but we haven't gotten any good pumpkins for it so the 2 in the garden are definitely going to be pumpkin bread. Everyone except my husband and youngest daughter tried it and said it was to die for. That's pretty good considering it was the first time I had ever made it

My pumpkins favorites for pumpkin bread pumpkin pie or pumpkin anything else are the C. maxima squashes.

Whether Banana, Hubbard, Kabocha, etc. they are good choices for my tastes.

When my kids were little we had a small suburban garden and grew a couple of pumpkins along with many other vegetables. My oldest daughter picked one of the small pumpkins and made a pumpkin pie (She was 8 years old). It was delicious and she's was so proud!

I got the pumpkins picked and got 1 cleaned. I took the seeds out to dry and gave the pumpkin stringy stuff to Whiner, the chickens and the ducks. Wally wouldn't eat it

I got the bread made this morning and took it to town so the kids and grandkids could have it

The first picture is a portion of the potato harvest. My blackberries started producing fruit . I got Whiner back home. He kept having problems with the grandkids.

Whiner looks so sad. They'll get on in time

I have 2 pumpkins that have to be picked tomorrow or Friday. They won't last until October so I get to make some pumpkin bread.
