I didn't quite get all of this on the radio while waiting for DW to join me in the Friday onion planting.
It isn't about the dish! It's about the chickens and the peppers . . . and other domesticated plants & animals. I thought the brief suggestion that the spread of the sweet potato around the Pacific was worth a ton of research! The Related Links on the page will give you the opportunity to see what the researchers have been up to.
I also thought Ira Flatow's reference to the Marx Brothers and "Why a chicken?" was funny! However, a lot of what Ira said and asked about seemed quite naive
