It has been suggested that I write "dribble" in TEG. I'll get to that later

Do you ever think that there is something that you really should do but you don't feel that you have the stamina to do it? It might be a physical, a major job taking some skill but also physical effort. It might be something that would quite likely make your life more complete, enlighten your perspective, maybe you would become a better person. Pass???
I picked up a book the other day that I thought was on language, word meanings. You know, one word at a time ... what a way to read a book, eh? Pick it up, put it down ... you have read a couple of sentences about a single word
... pick it up again ... another word.
They are just words but, you know, words are the important tools and important material for our thoughts. What our thinking, our perspective is - on all sorts of things! Absolutely Everything.
No. This book by Robert MacFarlane is very, very well written - by a PhD Cambridge professor. Don't let those credentials fool you - he is a travel writer. This book is about Nature: UnderLand.
It's serious stuff - about loss of environment and heritage but it is also a celebration ... I just can't read it
.
Today, I see @ducks4you referring to the gardening "marathon." Yeah, I'm an olde guy and I'm right in the middle of it. Add to that, family and the care needed for those people. What they can and cannot do for themselves.
I'd like @flowerbug to read this book. Yeah! Maybe he will. Maybe not ... Did MacFarlane really do as good a job as I imagine that he did? What's in it?
Toss ~~
