Hello everyone!

Sorry for my inactivity this year. Life has been crazy. Couple job changes and an unhealthy garden this year. Next year will be better.

At any rate, I went peach picking earlier this week. To my surprise, the pit in the peach I ate tonight had sprouted! How do I give this thing a fighting chance? Right now it’s nested in a Tupperware inside a wet paper towel.

Thanks in advance!
Sunshine

Put it in a pot of good potting soil and just let it grow. I think it will grow no problem. Have fun!

Even if the peach tree doesnt produce sweet fruit the spring flowers alone are worth planting

Thanks! But how do I care for it over the winter? Aren’t they supposed to sprout in the spring lol? I’ve never grown a tree before. I have no idea what I’m going .

Was the peach grown locally? If so it should be hardy enough to over winter in the pot outdoors. I would keep it against the east side of the house.
