I was cutting the grass today and as I rode by my youngest peach tree I noticed they seemed ready. I picked one and ate it while I rode around. Wow was it good! So, I picked the rest of them and canned 7 pints of sliced peaches. The tree is still pretty small, but I was very happy! My larger tree won't be ready to harvest for several weeks yet.

I have two little peach trees... they actually have a few peaches on them! I can't hope to have enough to can- but I am really hoping to taste an actual tree ripened, organic peach! Enjoy yours...

sounds lovely. no peach tree here anymore. I had one for years - don't know what variety. a friend gave it to me. that thing could crank out the peaches. I would spend so much time picking the little babies off so the rest could get some size on them. also, I always battle the worm that makes that gelatin like ooze on the peach.

That's awesome!

How old is the youngest tree you have? I have 3 peach trees. 1 is 5 and 2 are 4, I have a handful of peaches last year, not very big. This year only the oldest one had a few and the squirrels got them before they were ready.

I think the youngest tree is about 3 years old. It's a cling peach, but I can't recall the variety right now. When I get home I'll look it up.
