Bow Lake fowl. This hatch is extremely important. Right now, there are approx. 45 adults globally. By fall there should be 70-ish. Now, yes, $30 apiece for a chick is ludicrous. If I were to sell them, I would sell them for the rare-breed average of $10 apiece, but I'm not selling any. Call me greedy.

Actually, there are much worse prices. Greenfire Farms sell some chicks that are -400 globally @ $99 apiece :thu

Oh I've seen Green Fire Farms website. I remember the Sussex craze the had going for a bit, before that I heard it was the Marans, now they've moved onto something else, and soon to be something else.

Yes. 'America's rarest chickens'.

And with those prices, they'll stay rare. That's why, even tho' you could get away with $30 apiece for Bow Lakechicks, for the sake of the breed's population, I hope nobody tries to sell them for that.
