Picture Of The Week (POW) Information & Submissions

Two families decided to check in among the four bird houses we installed last year.

(Below) A great tit (Parus major) couple chose the house fixed on the back of the garden shed, and a Eurasian blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) couple chose the house on one Korean fir.

Both bird houses were purchased from the bird protection organization, while the other two were from ETSY. It seems birds prefer the ones from the bird protection organization more.

Often when I am working on a flower bed in my stone wall near the road friends and strangers will stop to talk flowers. Of all the color on display all season, the simple Oriental Poppy garners the most accolades. They are so big this year.View attachment 49319
