I love seeing pictures of everyone's gardens so I thought I'd post some of mine. I think I could have fit more stuff in the garden. What do you think? The garden area is about 15 x 25.

Beautiful garden there! And looks like there is a lot of room for more in there next year... just think of all the options: Carrots, beets, watermellon... and so on.

Oh, everything looks so healthy and beautiful! I'm still waiting on my first acorn squash to start You are making me jealousy. You have an amazing amount of space though.

Thanks everyone! I haven't seen many bugs around. Some leafhoppers, earwigs, slugs, snails and black spotted yellow beetles - I think those are cucumber beetles? We have a ton of garden spiders that must take out a lot of them and I let the chickens in there every once in a while. I've seen a couple of garter snakes as well. Unfortunately, my chickens got to one of them and the other one was being tormented by one of my cats. I relocated him to the front of the house, but the next day he was back in the vegetable garden. I know it was the same one because of a scar on his body. He must really like it there I hope he can avoid the chickens and cats! I don't use pesticides or herbicides so I hope I'm always this fortunate with the pest bugs.
Tried a couple ears of corn this morning. Tasted pretty good but not quite ready.
Nice, tidy garden you have Chickcritty! The nasturtiums look so pretty popping out among the squash. I will have to try that next year. I love the colorful peppers too. And that chicken in the basket is adorable!
Everything looks great! I think you really were lucky with the bug issue- I can't see one bit of damage! I found a snake that I put in my veggie garden too- haven't seen him since, I'm hoping he stayed around. Your chickens are beautiful- what are the black and white ones? The coop is looking good- make sure to post pics again when it is done. Enjoy your beautiful garden!

I love Nasturtiums. They are easy to grow and they add nice touches of color. The bees like them too and you can eat them! I think I'll try more flowers next year. Borage flowers look pretty. The white and black chickens are Silver Laced Wyandottes. They're only about 4 months old right now, but one of them made big chickie noises the other day so hopefully she'll start laying soon. Because right now we're only getting one egg a day from Lily, one of the Black Australorps. Ginger is molting and Olivia is broody (sitting on a ceramic egg) so no eggs from them.
I'd like to set up a separate garden area for berries and maybe grape vines. The space I'm thinking of is filled with perennial flowers and a blackberry bush that just kind of sprouted there (they grow like weeds here). I've kept it trimmed and it looks like we'll get quite a bit of berries from it. I might move the flowers and plant raspberries, strawberries and grapevines and transplant my blueberries over there too.
This is addicting, I'm already planning my next garden!
