pinching back seedlings

I'm growing cosmos from seed to sell at the farmers market. They are a bit leggy, so I'm thinking about pinching them back a bit to make them bushier. Is this a good plan, or a had idea?

I think so. You will get a bushier plant. Just make sure the pot size on the bottom will accommodate a larger plant.

I like to trim with scissors, so I don't accidentally pull them right up...

Good plan. Sharpen your claws first

Try to only get that growing tip.

If you're real good, you can do it without pinching the ends off a pair of leaves.

OK, it's done. They look so sad when I pinch them back, but I know that they will look tons fuller once they grow in again.
