Ours is probably more what people consider weeds. We don't water and always glad when it stops growing because then it's too hot to mow without dying. I love the patches of clover and wish we had more ryegrass for winter greenery.

does looking green count?!? from a distance it looks somewhat green. up close a mix of weeds, moss, grass, creeping jenny, ground ivy, and i'm not sure what else but it is mostly green! waiting for the purple blooms from the ground ivy & lawn violets.

Being green most certainly counts. It's like the English that call their yards gardens. If it's green it must be a garden (or grass). Our lawn is beautiful mown even though it is mostly weeds.
