lol, no, not soybean - i've seen too many of those to not know or you have a funny variety. i guess perhaps there might be climbing varieties of soybeans but the ones i'm familiar with are more compact in habit with rounder and darker green leaves.

didn't think this was an annual so never thought of it being a bean. is it possible it was a overwintered runner bean? those will regrow in the warmer south, but not up here.

plant id has never been my strong suit...
