Potato suprise!! EEK!

I LOVE having toads around the farm! We've got many, and they're GREAT about snatching up bugs.
I had a raised bed of young bean plants that I had wrapped with netting, and filmed a couple of toads trying to "break in" one night...

That's why I put my little guy back in the garden, the cats and chickens are blocked by a fence, so hopefully no died toad.

We've learned toads love an easy meal. We had a plank walkway to the house at our last place. At the corner was a post where we hung a bug zapper (light). A colony of toads took up residence under the walk. At dusk, they would come out and gobble up the bugs that were drawn to the light and zapped. There were 15-20 toads having a feast each evening.
