.In this group you see and Indian Casino, they can open casinos where no one else can with out any Tax, that would be great, or they can open a smoke shop and sell cigarettes without paying tax. This was in Bishop or Independence, I think, next to a gas station.

.There are piles, hills of purple volcanic rock in this area, miles of it.

This is a bit of the Red Rock Desert, on the way back heading north. The film here cowboy movies or when it is the lunar surface or another planet. Vasquez Rocks are not far from here, you've all seen them in movies.

Nice pics Valley! I'm pretty familiar with a lot of that road. We used to drive north from the San Diego area to get to the Sierras. Mostly we'd go up 395 and turn at Toms Place and on up to Rock Creek. We did a lot of camping and backpacking in from there. Beautiful area. Or we'd go further north and go up Tioga Pass into Yosemite.
I preferred the backside (east side) of the Sierras more because the drive was more pleasant once you got through all the megalopolis of Sandiegolosangelesandmore. The west side access just involved more congestion. But that's been years, maybe both sides are just as heavily trafficked now

Girls got a bunch of panels today so they added a corral up front south~they have lot more coming for a arena out back 50' across is what is planed.
