Shoot Red, I pee off the porch all the time. I'm sure Dew has some accidental shots somewhere. Problem is, it wouldn't have the same effect if it wasn't their porch ;)

The whole affair is supposedly over and I still don't know how to convince the neighbors what is theirs and what is ours.

Called the sheriff for them stealing my hay. Was told that since they planted it they could harvest it. WHAT ????!! That alfalfa was planted 6-8 years ago. It belongs to them? How long does it belong to them? I thought the Judge's orders changed that.

Deputy also told me that the corn they planted on our land would be theirs to harvest. HUH? Still no paperwork from the neighbors' attorney. Actually, he did get something done, but according to my attorney it was not correct nor specific enough to prove ownership of anything.

Still waiting. I got the Judge's summary from the Court today. Have the transcripts of the Judge's decision on the way. Still waiting for something to change/happen with the land.
 
Sheriff's deputies -- I think I've met 7 of them recently -- are just keeping from having to do work on what is a tough affair. They choose to not understand because having to follow through and write something up is to be avoided at all costs.

I've been told to stay off my own land near the disputed property. I've been told he has a right to be on the disputed land, but I didn't. Now there is no disputed land and I still am told to stay away from my boundary. I've been told I can't tear down my part of the shed, clean out my part of the boundary, can't keep them off my field. Can't, can't, can't while I wait for their attorney to rewrite the Judge's words and intent. Sigh!
 
Good fences make good neighbors. I'd fence all your land, if you have the finances for that, and post it as you go along. After that, any trespassing will also be destruction of property, I'd get it on film and proceed to bypass the local Barney Fife until you get some action on it. I'm thinking his palm has been greased thoroughly by your neighbor.

Fence in that crop if it's on your land. I feel your pain and can understand your annoyance. There's a time to turn the other cheek and there's a time to see that the laws of the land are enforced properly...sounds like this is the time for that.
 
They are correct. Once they farm it, it is theirs for that year. You need to notify them in writing that they will no longer be farming your ground.

If they need an explanation of what is yours, ask them to contact you, your lawyer (bad for you as your meter will be running) or judge.

Side note but your lawyer sounds more than a little slow. He needs to be paid on job assignment and NOT on the hour meter.
 
The farmer told the judge that he had no agreement with us to plant or harvest our land. That sounds to me like they have no reason or purpose to be on our property.
 
That's because he was under mistaken idea that he wasn't on your land. He believed your neighbors. I believe your only recourse is to sue your neighbors for lost rent. I'd just let it die. He may get one more cutting-small one at that.
