Good article! I just harvested all of my early crop (all 8 of 'em :D) last night...very yummy. As a side note for others who live in hot,dry parts of the world, I've had the best luck keeping the plants alive in part shade. Mine are under some trees and get about 4-5 hours of direct sun. The ones I followed instructions on and planted in full sun croaked the first summer.

I planted a few 'Encore' reds about two weeks ago and so far, no signs of life. There were a few greenish white shoots when I put them in the ground so I'm keeping my fingers crossed they'll take.

I planted 10 reds and 5 yellows along with 10 blackberries.
I think all of them are growing pretty well, some of the blackberries are already getting flower buds.
Its my first time growing them so time will tell how they do but I have been reading everything I can get my hands on regarding growing them.
Thanks for the link.
