Reasons to Smile...

Here's one to start- The days are getting longer!
It's very noticeable.
Here it is twenty to 5 and I'm heading out to feed and tuck the animals in.
A month ago I would have needed a flashlight. Yay!

I just came back from the store and you are right!

After a month or so of nothing, I got five eggs Saturday and another four Sunday.

I really hated purchasing eggs from the store while feeding those freeloaders twice a day.

it's my son's birthday today. now that's a reason to smile! even if he does live a whole country away..

he sent me a picture of him skiing down the side of a mountain in the sierra nevada mountains on cross country skis! and it makes me smile each time i look at it.

Wife put a heat lamp in for the chooks and in a few day they started laying again.

Reason to smile, my children are healthy and strong. Yesterday they spent the day playing outside with their cousins, except for my 15 year old (on the phone texting, ugh).

Granddaughter playing dress up....made Gran dress up too, in my mother's too small garden shoes and my massive garden hat. Winter time indoors kind of play.
