I love celery but was scared to grow it because I heard it was a pain.

I put the bases of three bunches in water on the window sill and t hey are growing. Just put them in dirt...

It really works! I tried it last year. Got them to the point of transplanting outside... but I didn't keep up with the watering. It certainly can be done!

I did it too, after Vfem posted a thread about it. Mine grew, one bolted and the other continued growing all summer. The flavor was too strong for me though.

I saw that on Pinterest... Let us know how yours works out. :caf I think celery has to be blanched as it grows. Might be why yours was so strong, Thistle.
