Got 4 pots remixed and filled, then planted sunflower.
Then put 2 pumpkin, 4 cuke, 9ish cauliflower and 4 watermelon seeds in the 2 cuke bins and 3 cauliflower bins.
We'll see if anything grows.

Harvested and blanched 66 corn cobs!
Two eaten, 1 in fridge for tomorrow. Rest in baggies in the freezer.
There's still some left maturing and developing outside. :)
Critters will get the leaves and stalks over the next few days.

Spaced out the planters as much as I could. Definitely need to make the area much larger next year.
Most of the cauliflower removed.

Planning the 2026 garden.

A- Drug up the small garage frame. I will sew a huge mesh cover for it out of window screen, as that will last decades. It will house; cauliflower, cucumber & pumpkins n such.
Cauliflower will have 4 bins.
Cucumber will have 4 bins & trellis.
Pumpkins n such will have 4 bins & trellis.

B- Old spot will have; pepper, tomato, carrot & potato.
Peppers will shrink to 2 bins and swap to bell peppers vs whatever is growing now.
Tomatoes will shrink to 2 bins and swap to big versions vs cherry tomatoes.
Potatoes will have 3 bins.
Carrots will have 3 bins.

The two metal beds that housed cukes will be moved to fenceline. Then strawberries will be put into them. I have small nets to put over these beds for when the bloody japanese beetles show up.

Corn patch will move up some and expand.

Spot B, it will widen out and move down and to the right.

Spot A, I'll use the 40 odd pavers from the hosta bins, as the hostas had to be shoved under the porch to be happy.

Frame at current spot. It'll move to the left, between corn and current spot.

Moved it in general place. Dead of winter is when I'll add fabric, pavers and pots.
Corn in current spot. Will move up and become larger.

Current garden will move over to the right to line up with steps. Or...or I'll leave it where it is....If I'm removing 6 pots plus 2 oval, I don't really need to move it over, do I? 🤔
Round pots will move down, to fill area oval pots used to be in.
Not necessarily smaller space, as they all need to separate out even more than I was able to do so now. Will be 10 pots vs the current 16 pots + 2 oval pots.

Can you spot all of the little pumpkin plants springing up? Lol. There's so many! If I have to mow again, I'll have to be careful and go around them.

I'm thinking maybe I should do a net vs the cattle panels as trellis? Though, I have a few that were cut, so they are 2ft by 8ft. Idk. We'll see in late autumn, end of winter.

I made a huge koi catching net from window screen. Will reuse as much of that as I can for the building. Gotta remember to leave extra on the ground to cover with pavers.
Want to exclude all of the caterpillars that destroyed my cauliflowers and the vine boreing mofos!

if you cover some plants you will have to remember to let the bees in if you want any results or have to hand-pollinate.
Yeah. I'm always here, so I'll get a fluffy little brush or three and hang them in there to hand pollinate. Will have to learn what male vs female flowers look like, though....🫣
