Sucks I'm not a big green eater...Chickens are tired of greens, too. Lol

First go at sunflowers. What a mess and so much work getting them out. Plus all the empty shells...wtf

Probably the last of the garden. Frost coming tonight. If potato tops die back from it, I'll be digging those up.

I did cover the bellpepper plant to try and make it last a bit longer.

Was supposed to be 36F...Looks like it got to 27.9F instead!
Needless to say, tomato, pumpkin, most pepper, have wilted today.
Awful dental pain lately, so idk when I'll get to pulling and tossing the plants into compost.

Well, I dug up my potatoes 🥔

Bought a small seed bag, cut and put in layers into three 30 gallon grow bags.

The dirt remained soft and fluffy all the way to about the last 3-5in at the base, then it was more compact with no taters.

Will add rabbit manure and then they'll be ready for new taters next year.

My biggest haul ever!

Closest got most shade. I have no idea what the difference is besides sun amount. 🤷🏽‍♀️

the last of the tomatoes ripening before going to the chickens. They're currently arguing with the last of the peppers.

bits of potatoes do not need to go to leaf stage to reform underground if you have a chunk of potato with an eye in it that can form a runner/stolon and it will reform itself into a small potato without ever having to put a leaf above ground - eventually of course to get a bigger potato the plant will have to grow above the surface.
