Very interesting , Hattie! This certainly worked for you- I will be anxiously waiting to here your final harvest result. I am guessing you are adding all kinds of nutrition to the actual veggies, too. Minerals are so important...

There is still so much we don't know about soils and plants. There are probably minerals plants need in micro amounts that haven't even been studied yet. DG is available locally but the cost of trucking it from the desert side of our coastal mountains to San Diego is a killer. Our beaches are loaded with kelp which would solve the minerals problem but it takes so much water to get all the salt off it.
