Perhaps an obvious question or one answered before, but what explains the differenced in skin color in your birds, @Kasaundra?

I have some of my flock that have hyperpigmentation (fm gene) so those are the darker ones. The mid range colored ones have fm just show it poorly (like Rudy)

I can't say they're photogenic (sorry Kassaundra ) but they are definitely hamming it up for the camera! ....maybe I used the wrong metaphor there.

Frack thrived but was to noisy and to small (and able to escape the safe pen) so he went to live w/ an Okie chicken keeper that needed a small boy for her recently widowed serema, but as tiny as Frack was he was to big for the little serema, so I believe he ended up w/ a haram of bantum chochins. She is an artist and I believe he is to be the inspiration for her next painting.
