Has anyone used a sandwich grill for a purpose other than grilling a sandwich?

Specifically, making pizza ...

There is a "baking dish grill." Does your sandwich grill have one?

My problem with pizza is the dough. Impossible! Don't you suppose that the confined area within that machine would bake the pizza crust in such a way that I could actually get my teeth through it?

I enjoy pizza. I really, really enjoy pizza. Sometimes the crust is the best part. One of my to-do list items for this coming winter is to build a cob oven out near the back patio. I have been saving some beautiful blue clay that I got from the new stairway excavation for my cistern/basement project. I'll try to remember to take some pictures along the way.

Oh! I like these responses!

Watched Debbie's video -- surprise!

Value toppings opinions ... Will anticipate building of oven @Smiles Jr. 's!

Off to learn about a surprising use for cauliflower! Yeah?

Pizza dough isn't hard. After a few decades of pizza making I found a recipe that works great every time. Flour, yeast, salt and water. Easy peasy and everyone likes it.

I have to get DW's interest in it.

Shoot. She likes to stop for pizza more often than I do ...

Her pie crust skills save the day. Holiday that is, and my contribution to dessert. That guy who flipped the baked cauliflower crust pizza - see, I could do that with one of my crusts, on a pumpkin pie ...

 Steve
