Sealing My Beds 2

We went to pick up supplies for sealing our boards and someone suggested that if we used chemicals to seal the boards wouldn't they just leach into the beds? We had planned on using sealant but should we use that or stain or polyurethane? Thanks

I just used a stain with sealant in it. I'm not too worried about it leaching in. I highly doubt it would be enough to affect the plants if its on the outside of the bed.

There are "green" sealants out there. Check MEN website as they have ads for them all the time in their mag.
