Should look up the history of that word. It doesn't seem to have much to do with the other "lower" as in to place low. Rather it is all "menace!"

It's starting to rain here again. Had some pretty nasty storms roll threw last night. Kept me awake most of the night. Severe lightening,thunder and heavy rain.... round 2 coming up tonight. :/

We have had so many storms and so much rain- I can't believe it! I tried to find out how much rain we have had this month- but I couldn't find any numbers.

Phoenix may have record high temperatures! Imagine folks . . . . What would be a record for Phoenix??????

Aaaannnd, around here - Seattle is suppose to retreat across the Cascades with its tail between its legs because . . . Phoenix is coming!!!! After a high of 63f on Monday, the thermometer is suppose to hit 90 Friday! Then, it is just up and UP some more! By Tuesday, the Weather Service has a predicted 99!

Sheesh!

I am going to be watching the rabbits close and may have to come up with some extra ways of keeping them cool.

oh boy the heatwave is coming to this area, mid 90s this weekend up to 99 or more next week sheesh. it has mostly been in the 60s for the last while so this is gonna be no fun. It has rained quite a bit lately so the garden has a good headstart on the water. Ready or not it is coming...(

I told the farmer last night that I wouldn't be surprised to have palm trees start sprouting! Every day it's either raining or it's muggy, muggy, then a big thunderstorm rolls in. Some of these storms have been pretty powerful with very strong winds.

Stubborn, that sounds like our weather exactly! The same is being predicted for the next week, as well! The one thing that is really growing here- is the mosquito population! I was weeding in the garden yesterday evening- and I thought they were going to carry me away!
