Keep a close eye he doesn't chew plastic. I know a few dogs that chewed plastic toys, they would swallow pieces of plastic. The plastic wouldn't digest creating a blockage that needed emergency surgery. This happens over a period of time. You might look at plastic container as a cheap toy, but it could cost you big bucks in Vet fees.
I was wondering about that. I know someone who gives their dog gallon milk jugs to play with, and chew on. I asked if the dog eats it; they said no, but I can tell they are really chewed up.
Every dog is different.
Ben eats plastic, no matter how tough it is, so he can't have such things...wish he could, it might keep him from tearing everything to shreds. For now the giant dinosaur bones work well to give him something to sharpen his teeth on but he still manages to destroy things.
