Sad when they go down like that, Pam.

Ice storm a few years ago, the branches were dropping left and right. There was only a helpless feeling about it since nothing could be done :(.

I went past a little forest along the side of a hill right after that. It looked as tho' every single pine tree had its top broken out on that hillside.

I am very happy that I don't have any snow pictures!!! Everyone around us got it -and bad- we didn't see a flake!!! I know our time will come, but we've got 50's during the day all week! Thank you, mother nature!

I remember the ice storms we used to get in Oklahoma. You could stand there and hear the big branches and trees crashing down all through the woods. Some of the young pines would bow over till the tops touched the ground. They never quite straightened up again.

Wow, you are very lucky that huge tree didn't fall ON the house! :ep
It was awful here. A few of our neighbors now have an indoor tree or two, but luckily were not hurt. We just got our power back at 3am last night. There are still many people around us who still don't have power. I didn't think I would ever see damage worse than Irene in our town, but boy was I wrong! Stay safe, and keep warm; it's going to be a long winter! :coolsun

well I have always wanted a peach tree in the yard I just may plant one where the mulberry was it gets 100% of the sun all summer and most of the winter that would be a good place for one... unfortunatly all the plants that were under the mulberry are dapled shade lovers hosta, ajuga, violets, etc so I will have to move those next spring...
