Aww man! My husband told me not to plant spinach till fall. It gets really hot here, but I knew it grows fast, and it's not too hot yet.

Spinach has calcium in it, which could cause stones because of deposits, but alot of veggies do.

Another thing that can cause stones is your drinking water, I have friends in Moriatry NM and they will not drink out of the tap. They said that the rate of kidney stones and gallbladder stones for the area is one of the highest in the nation.

It gets really hot here too in the summer. From what I've been reading it says to plant them indoors 3 weeks before the last frost and then plant outside and they'll be fine. This is my first time growing Spinach so this will be a learning experience.

Right now, I have planted cherry tomatoes as a starter plant, banana peppers, peppermint, eggplant, watermelon, forget me nots, snapdragons, and impatiens all in one bed. Wish me luck.:fl

I want to plant spinach in the fall, and also some cabbage.

It's just too hot in San Antonio to plant a leafy green.

They will wilt too quick.
