Strawberries from California.......anyone?

Great. I love having strawberry fields all around me to pick from at the height of the season, but I wonder how many would end up using this and how many would tell the truth about it when asked.

Glad I grow my own! Seems very hypocritical of CA, surely it will be overturned.

Nothing to forgive. LOL Would rather it get posted, twice, than not posted at all. Pretty serious stuff.

I just can't wrap my head around this. Can you picture a bunch of "educated" people sitting around in a room and agreeing that spraying poison on FOOD is a good idea???? You would think if anyone suggested something so ridiculous, they would be laughed out of the room... Glad I doubled my strawberry row-

I tossed any strawberry I didn't eat in to a garden bed hoping it would result in more plants this year. Since I am growing tiny alpine strawberries and I have more seeds, I better get planting!

Thanks Boggy...Even living in California, I hadn't heard of it. I stopped buying strawberries at the store, organic or conventional. The taste was so bad on both. Now I only buy organic from the farmer's market. They are so much sweeter.

Just signed the petition.

I'm not going to be buying store-bought strawberries anymore. Since we're right next to California, that's the only kind available here anyway. I'm hoping to plant about a hundred strawberry plants in the spring. The commercial ones taste horrible anyway. I remember when they used to be so sweet and juicy, but now they are sour. I've noticed that with most fruit, they just don't taste good anymore...:( I got some oranges on Thursday and they are so pale inside that they ought to be called 'yellows' instead. They were dry and tasteless.
