The NE Corner of the SE Garden (also commonly called the fenced garden) which is somewhat redone. Removing several pathways and consolidating parts of four smaller gardens to make a larger area. This is already much easier to care for since I will no longer have to weed those pathways and along those edges. It is not completely done yet, but it will have to do for this year because I really need to get to the garden in the background to the left to finish that up and get it planted in the next few days. The very corner garden (about 20 feet x 20 feet) of the SE garden is the original garden that Mom first started with way back in '97 or '98.

As a comparison you can see the differences that have been happening over several years since this picture was taken (in the spring of 2013):

Well thats good news!! Hopefully, they continue to find a better spot for their hives.
I'd like to think that mine would not be such a nuisance, but to be honest, there is just no way of knowing unless somebody says they are having a problem.

My little Wax Eyes, (small finch sized birds) have come home and are busy eating my Persimmons. I just love watching them.....now that I have filled a basket of the fruit for me and Jack.

the cedar topiary is done by the deer. :) she's been overseas on some trips, but i don't think they made it to France. she now says that she never wants to fly again.

Rocks?

I so often stop for a moment and wonder, "from what cubic yard of the Rockies was this rock carried from?"

Of course, I could ask this question of every rock that I see and be stymied with my first step into the garden ...

@digitS' i did ask and Mom says likely from Beaver Island, MI.

heavy rains here yesterday and the roof leaked again even with my impromptu uphill guards in place for the vents.

i did send another note to the roofing people and he replied so we'll see what happens next. i'm thinking we'll have to at least take off the top part of the roof and replace the vents... as to when that might happen. hahaha! so we'll end up with more tarps back up there, yet again...
