We have had a nice cool spell. Days in the upper 70's and low 80's with moderate humidity. Yet no rain! We need rain. Rains all around us then fizzles by the time it gets here. Now by the weekend they are predicting upper 90's and high humidity. Better get things watered and outdoor work done 'cause I will be hiding in the air conditioned house!

  • Looking out on fresh snow is wonderful.
  • Seeing gardens full of vegetables and flowers is inspiring!
  • Being cold is painful.
  • Being hot makes me weak and lazy.
I think that the pain is not preferred.

the heat is coming back for a while, we've had rains last night and now this morning. i'm taking the day off from weeding. i have things to do inside i can get caught up on - mainly feeding the garlic choppings and some weeds to the worms but also watermelon rinds.
