hello~can anyone recommend a sunflower variety that would grow will in a large container?
We are planning a 'ranch hoedown' reception for our daughter's wedding and would like to do a sunflower theme. My husband has built some large container boxes (about 2'X2'X2') out of old barn wood. I envision a bushy type of sunflower variety that grows about 3 feet tall? I checked out Henry Fields with no luck. I think I'll try Parkseed...but maybe someone knows offhand?
We will place these planted boxes of sunflowers around the eating and dancing areas.
Thanks in advance!

I know I saw some in the parkseed catalog. I want to say there was a mixed bunch seed pack that offered it so you can get several types in white, cream, yellow and burgendy!?

I grew Teddy Bear last year. It was rather compact, maybe 2' tall? It looked like a very ruffled lion's mane, beautiful!
