We have had a few or a lot of sunflowers in the yard and garden for the last several years.
Bold! That their daily growth follows the sun is an additional charm.
I do have some trouble with them. Cut in short pieces at the end of the growing season, the tractor guy can do an adequate job of tilling them in. But, if I'm left with dealing with them, it is best if they are buried fairly deep and I may not want to use that ground for a year while they decay.
Also, I have to be a little careful around them. Like running through the corn with bare arms, they can cause a minor rash. They also makes my eyes red and I sneeze ...
