I could call this thread, "Graph Skills." (Do you remember hand-outs with titles like that in Junior High?
It would really help for all of us to understand a little about the unique growing weather where our fellow Easy Gardeners do their thing - garden!
In fact, it has helped ME understand my own garden's climate by looking at the Weather Service information. (free for the searching, I might add
Here are the comparative Data Tables (scroll about an inch down): http://ols.nndc.noaa.gov/plolstore/plsql/olstore.prodspecific?prodnum=C00095-PUB-A0001
Using these 3 handy categories, tell us about your July temperature, precipitation, and maybe a bit more! Here are mine!
July Mean Number of Days Maximum Temperature 90 Deg. F or Higher: 9 days
July Mean Number of Days with Precipitation 0.01 Inch or More: 4 days
July Normal Precipitation, Inches: 0.76 inches
As you can see, the gardening climate is a little challenging in terms or heat and dryness. I do my best to compensate for that with the irrigation, of course. To better illustrate that challenge, here's the afternoon relative humidity!
July Average Relative Humidity - Afternoon (A): 27% A
And, very few clouds!
July Cloudiness - Mean Number of Days (Cloudy): 6 days
Tell us about YOUR growing weather!
Happy Holidays Everyone!
