Our friends in and around Illinois are having many and multiple tornadoes. Let's hope they are well. Some of the tornadoes were classed as 4. That means unimaginably big and powerful.

That front stayed intact all the way to the east coast. There were tornados about 35 miles from here, but no one died in MO. We have several members in Illinois and Indiana. Hey, folks, please let us know you're OK!

That is very scary. I been within a mile of 3 different tornados and one of those I was sitting stuck in traffic on a bridge over the freeway. I had no idea bridges had that much movement!
My heart goes out to all those affected by the storms. :(

Illinois lost 6 lives as of the news this morning. Two were lost outside of IL. The total lives lost did rise from the 8 of this morning to 9 or 10 as destroyed properties were inspected. It was reported that cell phones were giving off the alert all over the watch area and those alerts (first time by cell phone) were credited with a much lower loss of life than would otherwise have been expected.

Over the past years there have been tornado alerts in November, although the number has remained relatively low. Of those less than 200 alerts, fully half of them were sent out yesterday.

Prayers and support will be needed in the tornado trail for years to come.

The pictures on the news show devastation, flattened homes and debris everywhere. Prayers going up for those families.
